By popular request, the mindful  Yoga  and Nidra practice from the Center is back with Usha on Wednesdays at 7 pm  again at 530 Brandywine Avenue. We will start off with offering the class once a month, before returning to a weekly basis. So if you are interested, please register through the web link  shown above and and show up for class. 

For those who are new to the class, the session begins with half an hour of mindful yoga practice to warm up the body, connect with the breath and focus awareness into the present moment. This will be followed  by a scrumptious Yoga Nidra practice, a guided meditation practiced lying down.  Yoga Nidra is a well known methodology that is wonderful for people that have insomnia,stress, anxiety and depression. You will feel well rested to take on the days ahead with energy and calm.

This class consists of approximately 30 postures. This series systematically works the entire body. Alignment is emphasized, muscles are strengthened and toned. Flexibility is increased, and breathing and relaxation techniques are incorporated. A beneficial class for all including tennis players, bringing balance to the body, and enhancing focus to help a players mental game. A great class for beginners as well as experienced yoga students.

Gentle Strength Flow

Create strength, stability and support for the spine and the whole body by syncing breath and movement in this flow based class. Find energy, strength, and flexibility while staying kind and gentle to yourself. The use of props and teacher recommended modifications makes this class a nice fit for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners.

Gentle Yoga

A slower paced calming class including breathing techniques, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga.
