A Day Of Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the art of practicing presence in our lives in a nonjudgmental way.
From this place of greater awareness we develop the ability to respond in skillful ways to the demands of life with less frustration and reactivity.
We’ll spend the day in silence cultivating the practice of presence. Various practices will be taught including, but not limited to, mindful movement, sitting and walking meditation and mindful eating. This will be an opportunity to deepen a loving relationship with ourselves and our experience; the pleasant and the unpleasant.
Investment: $50 Full Day
$30 Morning only (10:30 - 1:00PM)
**Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a cushion or pillow, lunch and water.
About Kathleen ~ Kathleen Metzker has been teaching yoga since 2005 and developed an interest in the mind-body connection at an early age. She is the Director of Integrative Wellness and Mind Body at The Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services of Drexel University. Here she leads initiatives to support a mindful, trauma informed culture as well as mind-body health and healing practices for staff, patients and the community served. She speaks publicly on the healing impact of mindful living, works with individuals and groups to cultivate mind body wellness and leads workshops at The Center in Downingtown, PA.
Kathleen completed her Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction practicum at Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine and has completed professional training under Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli. She is committed to mindful living and finds great joy sharing her learning with others.
