Grief Yoga and Meditation

Wanda trained at The Center and received her certification on May 16, 2016. She led a Monday night gentle yoga practice until her youngest son Thomas passed away suddenly on May 16, 2017, from an unexplained sudden cardiac arrhythmia.Wanda deeply understands the struggle to get out of bed every day and function in this new world of grief. This past spring, while attending a Gong Bath at The Center, she was inspired to develop a yoga practice specifically for those that are grieving.
This practice is for people of all ages, body types, and physical conditions as well as those who have never tried yoga. It is for all those that are seeking a healing outlet, a safe place for all emotions, and to be with others that understand that grief cannot be "fixed".
This practice will begin with approximately 30 minutes of yoga, followed by 30 minutes of a guided meditation. Through a scanning and relaxing of the body, we journey into a sacred space – a safe space to connect to loving memories that live within you. A meditation that guides you to know you are never alone and you are deeply loved.
