Discover a meditative approach to Indigo pigment dying while creating your own design!!
Covering why indigo has been used as a natural pigment for centuries & why it continues to capture our creative imagination. We will explore basic shibori techniques (wood resist, tie resist, sew resist). You will learn the basics of making, maintaining, and using an organic indigo dye bath (vat)
No experience in dying process’ necessary, this is an excellent workshop for anyone who is curious about this beautiful, traditional dye method
* You will be supplied with a communal organic Indigo vat, Shibori materials, & rayon shawl to dye as you desire. As well as a take home Zine for vat creation, suppliers, & inspiration for personal projects.






About Josie: Josie is a Mexican-Cuban yogini born into a family rooted in the healing arts of curan-dería, shape shifting and clairvoyance. She continues her family customs and herbalism studies with Julia Graves and Ursula Bach. Josie has completed Meditation studies with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center and the School of Practical Philosophy since 2001. Known to teach intangible subjects in a clear and practical manner, Josie is a giving, nurturing teacher able to personalize subjects to the individual
